Rex Ryan, already headed to HBO, is writing a book, too. The brash, charismatic New York Jets coach is penning a book that will combine autobiography and football strategy. Doubleday acquired the untitled book's North American rights and plans to publish it in spring 2011 — potentially not long after the Super Bowl win Ryan is gunning for.

New Jersey Jets fans might be able to show their dedication to the team by purchasing personalized Jets license plates. According to NJ.com
New Jersey sports fans could show their pride — and pump a few bucks into the state budget — under a plan for customized team license plates that cleared the Legislature today.
New Jersey hopes to cash in on the roster of teams in and around the state, offering a buffet of vanity plates to raise about $1 million to help balance its budget.
“We want the sports fans to show their pride and on the other hand we’re going to generate money for the state budget,” said Assemblyman Robert Schroeder (R-Bergen), who sponsored the bill that would allow the Motor Vehicle Commission to contract with pro-sports teams. “I’ll choose a Giant plate over the Assembly plate.”
The plates would be made-to-order and available for any team in the country, he said. Though the price would be set by the Motor Vehicles commissioner, Schroeder said he thought the plates would cost $60 a pop, with an extra $100 charge for further personalization.
There was no word on when these plates could be available. This Jets fan is hoping they are ready in time for the New York Jets upcoming Super Bowl run in 2010.
It’s unclear when the plates might be available. The state needs to reach royalty agreements with teams, figure out how to make and sell the plates, and determine price. The earliest would be this fall, said Mike Horan, a spokesman for the Motor Vehicles Commission. He said the MVC was already in negotiations with sports franchises.

New York Jets RB, LaDainain Tomlinson was interviewed by Sal Paolantonio from ESPN and it appeared on Monday Morning’s Sports Center in the segment “Old Faces, New Places”. The phrase that popped out to me: ”He’s Sick and Tired”.
I got to hear and see four things I’ve been waiting for all summer since LT became a Jet:
1. The Jets Tattoo on his leg
2. What does LT think HIS role on the Jets will be?
3. Are the Jets going to Win the Super Bowl THIS YEAR?
4. If he wins the SB this year with the Jets, does he go into the Hall of Fame as a Charger or a Jet?
The Jets Tattoo
First, the most important topic needs to be covered. What does this tattoo look like that he got of the Jets logo on his leg? Well….. It looks like I put it on him with a coat hanger. That’s all I’ll say about that.

LT’s Role
Sal asked LT what he think his role should be, and LT replied that he’ll do whatever “they” want him to do whether that’s pass blocking, catching the ball out of the back field or running the ball in certain situations.
LT is currently listed as the backup to Shonn Greene, and it sounds like he is OK with it, so far. He said it’s not important to him to be the starter.
Sal pushed a nerve when he said “I can hear you say you don’t want to be the starter, but I can see the level of determination on your face”.
Screen Shot from ESPN's Sports Center
Yes, that looks like he is determined all right! ”Let me tell you something, I am sick of tired of being doubted of what I can and can’t do, and have been driven my entire career”.
I have no doubt that LT is coming into camp and this season with his guns a blazing. What fans have to remember is that LT won’t be expected to be TJ and put the numbers up that he did last year. It would be unfair considering that LT looks like he is closer to the role of Leon Washington and Shonn Greene will play the role of TJ.
The Jets and the Super Bowl in 2010?
“Win the Super Bowl, OH, Absolutley, no question, Absolutely.” There you have it, another guarantee.
Will LT go into the Hall of Fame as a Jet or a Charger?
LT smiled and said interesting… but I’m telling you right now, even if the Jets win two Super Bowls in a row with LT, he’s going in as a Bolt. I will LOVE the Super Bowls, but I won’t care if he is a Jet in the Hall. I’ll be happy when Mark Sanchez gets in there.
A couple of people on Twitter gave me their thoughts:
@DrewfromJersey – @e_man Luckily for us he dosent need to be 2009 TJ. Pass catching & redzone work will be an upgrade but overall I think he might be finished
@JfaulkNYJ - @e_man I hope he does real well. Not just for us #jets fans but becoz .. if he gets cut in 2011.. all I gota say
So what do you think of LT’s latest remarks? Think he’s going to do well this year?

This offseason the New York Jets overhauled their running back position. During OTAs and minicamp, the Jets’ feelings are clear that second-year man Shonn Greene can replace Thomas Jones’ production as the starter. And to fully reproduce the impressive stats that last year’s running game put together, the Jets also brought in future Hall of Famer LaDainian Tomlinson and USC standout…

The New York Jets story lines are going to be plentiful when it comes time for training camp in August and especially when HBO’s Hard Knocks is ready to shoot. Probably the biggest story will be Darrelle Revis (@revis24) and the quarrel he currently is having with management over his contract.
The longer this carries on, the longer you know that tensions will hit their peak for the filming. I’ve been looking closely at Darrelle’s twitter account (@revis24) and frankly he has been very quiet tweeting only ONCE since May 19th.
The fact of the matter is, I’ve been looking in entirely the wrong place to get updates on him, and you probably have been as well.
I knew Revis’ best friend, John Geiger, was on Twitter (@geigergeiger) but I haven’t been following closely. I decided to do a deeper dive into his tweets after I saw a lone tweet from @revis24 today:
Revis24: Its so hot out here in AZ. It feels like I’m right next sun!

Ok, so Darrelle is in AZ, big deal. Maybe he’s taking a vacation, but after taking a look at his friend/manager’s account, @geigergeiger , his entourage is in AZ to train:
GeigerGeiger: I’m in az it feels likes it 10000 degrees outside, about to go meet up with @Revis24 and move into the crib!
GeigerGeiger: Backyard of our lil summer home

John also posted some pics of him shopping and stocking up at a supermarket. Let’s just hope that everything in that picture is for John and the rest of the guys and Darrelle sticks to protein shakes and fruit.
Food shopping think we got enough stuff? @Revis24 haha
Mimosa allll daayyyyy!
So Darrelle hasn’t been tweeting for a while now, but his manager has been and if you want some great insight to what the best corner back in football is up to, follow @geigergeiger closely. If you don’t, you may miss shots like this one of Revis posing for Maxim Magazine:
GeigerGeiger: Just got this pic, from the shoot at the stadium as I speak for maxim mag… Yes maxim! http://tweetphoto.com/28736435
